This could be a cloud instance (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.), a VPS, an on-premises server, a personal laptop, home media server, NAS device, docker container, or IoT device like a Raspberry Pi. CloudRay helps you manage, automate, and monitor these machines through our platform.
The Free plan is perfect for personal projects, small websites, or if you're just getting started with server automation. With 2 machines, you can manage something like a web server and a database server. If you need to manage more servers or have a growing infrastructure, the Pro plan would be more suitable.

Yes, you can easily upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When upgrading to Pro, you'll immediately gain access to the ability to connect more machines. If you downgrade to Free, you'll need to reduce your connected machines to 2 or fewer.
While we don't offer a traditional trial period for the Pro plan, we do provide a 30-day grace period on the Free plan even if you go over the free limit. This allows you to thoroughly evaluate CloudRay's features before deciding to upgrade to the Pro plan.
